2022-2023 Incoming Applications


Please familiarize yourself with the regulations for travellers to Turkey.
All travellers entering Turkey are obligated upon entry to present proof of the absence of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus.Proof is shown through an official test result, proof of vaccination or recovery.
All passengers arriving in Turkey are also required to fill out Travel Entry Form at http://register.health.gov.tr within the last 72 hours before their flights.

The language of instruction for most courses is Turkish. We expect a level of B1 Turkish language skills from our exchange students.
If you have chosen an English language programme at YTU, we expect English proficiency at the level of B1/B2.

There is not a specific deadline for nomination. However, it must be done in good time before the application period ends.
For nomination, we require the information below to be sent to incoming@yildiz.edu.tr by the responsible person at your home university:

Full name (as written in the passport)
Date of birth
E-mail address
Period of stay (Full year/Fall semester/Spring semester)
Sending institution (name and ID code)
Study cycle (First/Second/Third)

After you have been nominated by your home university, you will receive an e-mail with information on the online application procedure.
The application periods are:

Spring semester           : 1 - 30 November 

Application Documents
Here is an overview of the application documents you need to upload to the application tool within the deadlines.

1. Copy of the passport ID page
2. Official transcript of records
3. Passport size photo for the student ID
4. (Online) Learning Agreement signed by the student and the home university

Application Processing
Allow 4-6 weeks for processing. Check your e-mail and the application tool regularly as we may need to request more or updated information/documentation from you.

After you complete your online application, the Erasmus office sends it to the departmental coordinator for approval. After your Learning Agreement is approved by the departmental coordinator, your duly signed and stamped Learning Agreement and Letter of Acceptance will be uploaded to the application tool.
