We offer the incoming Erasmus students a Turkish course to introduce the Turkish language! Those who already know some Turkish also can attend the course to improve their language skills.
The course is offered by the collaboration of YTU Erasmus Office and YTÜ TÖMER (Türkçe ve Yabancı Dil Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi/Turkish and Foreign Languages Research and Application Centre)
Course Registration
Turkish course is an extracurricular course, which means that it is not included in the course catalogues of departments, and therefore, it cannot be registered in the student information systems (OBS). Those who want to take the course needs to fill in the form that will be sent to them by the Erasmus Office.
Also, students can add this course to their Learning Agreement as stated below to get the ECTS points.

Grading/Certification
At the end of the semester, students receive a document with the course information and their passing grade.
Course Schedule
Students are informed about the course schedule by e-mail, once it is set by TÖMER. However, generally:
- Classes may be online.
- Each level has its 3-hour-class in a single day.
- Courses begin in October for the fall semester and in March for the spring semester.
