EURO BANK ACCOUNT HERE IN TURKEY
Your grant is paid after you arrive in Turkey.
Please follow the procedure below:
- To start your bank account procedure, first you need to go to Fatih Vergi Dairesi ( Fatih Tax Office) and get a tax number. Tax Office Address: Akşemsettin, Adnan Menderes Blv. No:56, 34080 Fatih/İstanbul
- To get to the Tax Office, you can take M1 Metro Line and get off at Emniyet-Fatih station. Right after you get out the station, you will see the Tax Office right in front of you. Please do not hesitate to ask someone. You can also get help from your assigned Erasmus buddy.
- After you get your tax number, you will visit Ziraat Bank branch in Davutpaşa Kampüs and provide yor passport and tax number and open a Euro account. Please make sure you open a Euro accoun, because your grant will be paid in Euros.
- At the end of the procedure, the bank clerk will provide you a bank account document which is a little booklet including your IBAN and account number. Make sure your name is written correctly as in your passport. Please keep the bank papers carefully with you.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Yıldız Technical University does not automatically provide incoming students with insurance cover. Students must have health insurance of their own which is valid in Turkey. Insurance is a must for your residence permit application as well.
